Lewis Bay

Lewis Bay () is a bay indenting the north coast of Ross Island between Mount Bird and Cape Tennyson. Charted by the Discovery expedition under Scott, 1901-04. Named by the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (US-ACAN) in 1964 for Captain Price Lewis, U.S. Navy, commanding officer of the USS Staten Island during U.S. Navy Operation Deepfreeze 1959, and who in U.S. Navy Operation Deepfreeze 1963 and 1964 was assistant chief of staff and ship group commander, U.S. Naval Support Force, Antarctica.
